24/7 Crisis Support Line: 618-228-3622

You are not alone. Free, confidential support for students and families in English and Spanish is available. Call, text, or chat anytime to 618-228-3622.

Here are just a few examples of what kind of support the mental health support line can provide:

  • Emotional support: Individuals feeling depressed, or experiencing stress or anxiety, can find support and guidance on how to navigate their feelings about their situation.
  • Processing difficult circumstances: Individuals navigating family challenges, bullying, or grief can share their thoughts and emotions in a safe space.
  • Thoughts of self-harm: Individuals experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide are walked through a risk assessment and Safety Planning to ensure they’re receiving the right level of care and support.

What does this look like?
Individuals can call, text, or use web chat to start a conversation with a trained crisis counselor. The counselor will provide a risk assessment when needed, help them to de-escalate emotions, offer coping strategies, and connect individuals to local and national resources when appropriate.

This initiative helps us fulfill our commitment to supporting student mental health by providing your family with immediate, 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors whenever difficult or confusing situations arise.

We encourage students and families to use this resource early — whether facing a crisis or simply needing someone to talk to — because no concern is too small when it comes to mental health and well-being.
