East St. Louis Senior High School Unified Champions win Second Place in State Tournament

The East St. Louis Senior High School Unified Champions Special Olympics Basketball Team played in the 2023 IHSA/Special Olympics Illinois Unified Basketball Tournament on Friday March 10, 2023 at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC 201 E Peabody Dr., Champaign, IL). The East St. Louis Unified Champions Basketball Team won the Second Place Title in the State Tournament! 

We are extremely proud of the team, their coaches, sponsors, and family members who worked hard and never gave up hope on their dreams of going to the state tournament. The students displayed great sportsmanship and took pride in playing the sport to the best of their ability.
