Board Member Consolidated Election
Announcement: April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election
Nominating petition papers for the April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election can be obtained online at the St. Clair
County Clerk web site www.countyclerk.co.st-clair.il.us or picked up at the County Clerk’s office. Nominating
petitions must be signed by at least 50 registered voters or 10% of the voters, whichever is less, residing within the
district.
Three (3) seats on our seven-member Board of Education will be filled at the April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election.
To be eligible to serve, one must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or over, a
registered voter, and a resident of the State of Illinois and the East St. Louis School District for at least one year
immediately preceding the election.
The candidate must file the following with the St. Clair County Clerk:
- Nominating petition papers
- Statement of Candidacy
- Receipt from County Clerk of Economic Interest Statement
- Loyalty Oath (optional)
Dates to Remember:
First day for circulating nominating petitions: September 20, 2022
First day for filing nominating petitions: December 12, 2022
Last day for filing nominating petitions: December 19, 2022
Last day for filing receipt for Statement of Economic Interest: December 19, 2022
