Board Consolidated Election

ANNOUNCEMENT:  April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election

Nominating petition papers for the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election can be obtained online at the St. Clair County Clerk web site or picked up at their office.  Nominating petitions must be signed by at least 50 registered voters or 10% of the voters, whichever is less, residing within the district. 

Three seats on our seven-member Board of Education will be filled at the April 2, 2019 consolidated election.  To be eligible to serve, a Board member must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a registered voter, and a resident of the State of Illinois and the East St. Louis School District for at least one year immediately preceding the election.  The Board election is non-partisan, and Board candidates do not run under political party affiliation.

The candidate must file the following with the St. Clair County Clerk:

  • Nominating petition papers
  • Statement of Candidacy
  • Receipt from County Clerk of Economic Interest Statement
  • Loyalty Oath (optional)

Dates to Remember:

September 18, 2018: First day for circulating nominating petitions

December 10, 2018: First day for filing nominating petitions

December 17, 2018: Last day for filing nominating petitions

December 17, 2018: Last day for filing receipt for Statement of Economic Interest

January 24, 2019: Last day a candidate may file Withdrawal of Candidacy
