Announcement: April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election
Nominating petition papers for the April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election can be obtained online at the St. Clair County Clerk website www.stclaircountyil.gov/county-clerk or may be picked up at the County Clerk’s office, 10 Public Square, Belleville, IL. Nominating petitions must be signed by at least 50 qualified voters or 10% of the voters, whichever is less, residing within the district.

Three 4-year seats on our seven-member Board of Education will be filled at the April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election. To be eligible to serve, one must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or over, a registered voter, and a resident of the State of Illinois and the East St. Louis School District for at least one year immediately preceding the election.

The candidate must file the following with the St. Clair County Clerk:

Nominating petition papers
Statement of Candidacy
Receipt from County Clerk of Economic Interest Statement
Loyalty Oath (optional)

Dates to Remember:
First day for circulating nominating petitions: August 25, 2026
First day for filing nominating petitions: November 16, 2026
Last day for filing nominating petitions: November 23, 2026
Last day for filing receipt for Statement of Economic Interest: November 23, 2026
