Athletics
MCMS has a comprehensive Interscholastic Athletics Program (IAP) regulated through the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA). This program is open to all students in grades 5--8. To participate on an athletic team, a student must meet all criteria established by East St. Louis SD 189 and MCMS. This includes adherence to the East St. Louis SD 189 Academic Eligibility Standards. Sportsmanship and personal fitness are two of the goals of the athletics program. All participants and parents must sign the Athletic Code and have a current sports physical on file before participants may begin practicing.
