Title I Part D

Purpose

Improves educational services for children and youth in local and tribal state institutions for neglected or delinquent children and youth.

Provides: 

• Services for successful transition from institutionalization to schools or employment.  

• Support systems for families and the community.

East Saint Louis School District 189 uses Title I, Part D funds for professional development, instructional resources and services, and highly qualified teachers at the Saint Clair County Juvenile Detention Center.
