  • Class of 2020 Graduation

    The Class of 2020 virtual graduation ceremony will be publicly shared with families and the community on June 1, 2020 on the school district website, www.estl189.com. To honor our graduates, we will provide each with a keepsake graduation video. The ceremony video includes all graduates from the Class of 2020 and the graduation speeches.   • Summer School

  • Grab and Go Student Meals on Wheels

    Grab and go meals are provided during school closure. Meals available 10am-Noon, Monday-Friday, at our nine K-12 schools and at participating centers. Brief mobile stops also provide Grab and Go meals. Meals include one day of breakfast and lunch provided in one bag and are to be picked up then taken home to eat. Meals may be picked up by students or guradians.

  • Remote Learning Plan

    In response to Illinois State Board of Education's recommendations and in accordance with Illinois State Governor JB Pritzker's executive orders, District 189 and IFT Local 1220 have developed a Remote Learning Plan to meet learning needs and ensure future academic success for all students during this unprecedented school closure.

  • Ed Resources During School Closure

    Families, students, leaders, teachers and staff are concerned anytime students are away from school for an extended period of time. For this reason, the Curriculum and Student Support Services departments have compiled a list of resources and websites for students and their families to engage in learning activities. Please use the links provided and activities shared by teachers to keep students engaged in academic and social-emotional activities during our school closure.

  • Student Chromebook Support

    All 1st-12th grade students were required to pick up school-issued chromebooks from the school they attend to continue their learning during this mandated school closure. Learning activities are available on our website and have been distributed by teachers. These chromebooks will allow students access to the Clever Portal, Google Classroom and other educational resources in order to keep up with essential coursework from home. If you did not pickup a chromebook, please contact your child's school principal to discuss options. If you have tech difficulties, contact your school principal.

  • Spring 2020 School Closure

    Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announced schools will remain closed and that remote learning in Illinois will be extended through the end of this school year to slow the spread of COVID-19. During this time, at-home learning will continue. Our schools’ commitment to learning and education will remain open and learning will continue for all students - just through a different format. Our teachers, administrators and support staff are fully engaged and willing to take on this new challenge and push forward with remote learning, engaging with students and continuing with our food distribution program.
