  • The Medical Compliance Deadline is October 15, 2021

    All East St. Louis School District 189 students must meet the medical compliance rules by October 15th. Students must have a current physical and immunization record on file on or before this deadline in order to return to school. If your child needs medical attention to be compliant, a letter would have been mailed or a phone call from the nurse would have occured with the details. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • Technology Support Available for Students, Parents and Caregivers

    Students, Parents, and Caregivers who are in need of technical assistance with their district devices and programs can reach out to the Technology Team through the Tech Support Line, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am until 2:30 pm.

  • COVID Data Dashboard & Onsite COVID Testing

    Check here for the COVID Data Dashboard. The SHIELD Illinois saliva-based PCR test will be used weekly to test students for COVID. It is a highly sensitive test that identifies those who are asymptomatic carriers of the virus. Results are provided in less than 24 hours to promote a safe learning environment.

    East St. Louis School District 189 is seeking qualified candidates to hire as Substitute Teachers in the district. Interested candidates must have an appropriate State of Illinois Substitute Teaching License and must possess a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
